Another “Technology Blog” wordpress theme

I’ve made another wordpress theme ! This one isn’t so special because I wanted to see how fast I can develope a simple theme and to my surprise, I managed to finish it in 3 hours.

The theme’s name is “technology blog” and you can find more info about it at technology society.

Technlogy Society wordpress theme

I managed to finish another wordpress theme for a new blog and because Christmas is near, you can download it for free. “Technlogy Society” has the following futures:

• Valid XHTML/CSS code.
• AD spots - you can add almost any type of advertising banners, from 728×90px to 468×60px; there is a lot of space to test.
• Widgets ready - you can add any widget you like in the right sidebar.
• PSD Files - in the PSD folder you can find the source for the logo; you can edit it with Adobe Photoshop.
• Gravatars – for comments.
• Tags and you can also add a tagcloud in sidebar.
• No sponsored links
• It works fine on Wordpress version 2.7
• The theme has also a gridded version.

Google adds digg style buttons to search results

I don’t want to say that Google lacks of inspiration because it is not true. They always have something new to promote, for example Google Chrome which brought new futures and technologies in the browsers industry, it is a great product developed by a well-known brand. Now when it comes to search, Google is on first place in my opinion and because everything evolves, search should too. That is why Google made some major changes to the search interface, for example:

They added digg style buttons, one that lets you promote a search result, one to remove a listing and the last one which helps you leave a note/comment. At the same time Google made a smart move, all your votes show up only when you are logged in and also to Google users who take a look in “See all notes for this SearchWiki” section.
